\"\"\"\"\"\"Regarding the endless and heartfelt California wildfires\u00a0with resultant calamities, 2018,\u00a0monetary efforts to help displaced and wounded animals\u00a0has been arranged through the NCPA (Northern California Publishers & Authors organization).<\/p>\n

As one of many author members of this organization,\u00a0I am happy and grateful to participate in this\u00a0 multi-author book-signing fundraiser\u00a0in the\u00a0FieldHaven Marketplace, 454 F Street, Lincoln, California on Saturday, November, 24, 2018 from 11 am to 3 pm.\u00a0 This will assist the FieldHaven\u00a0Center with their ongoing rescue efforts and medical care of numerous animals affected by the Northern California wildfires.<\/span><\/p>\n

Happily, I am donating three\u00a0sets of\u00a0books, three books per set,\u00a0as they pertain to a diabetic dog:<\/p>\n

  1. “Me & My Money…a child’s story of diabetes,” written by A. K. Buckroth, illustrated by Amy Pichly-Meyer.<\/li>\n
  2. “Me & My Monet Too…a\u00a0child’s story with diabetes, Book Two” written by A. K. Buckroth, illustrated by Amy Pichly-Meyer.<\/li>\n
  3. “Kisses for Cash, Kali’s\u00a0story…T1D meets T2D, Book Three,”\u00a0 written and illustrated by A. K. Buckroth.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This series begins with Kali, an eight-year old T1D (Type One Diabetic).\u00a0 Diagnosed with this disease at the age of two,\u00a0she firmly believes she knows everything about this disease.\u00a0 Until she decides to use her saved-up allowance to adopt a puppy, her responsibilities grow!\u00a0 Appropriately naming the\u00a0puppy Money<\/em>, they become beloved friends.<\/p>\n

    Then something huge happens!\u00a0\u00a0Through Kali’s knowledge of this disease, she has suspicions\u00a0– suspicions that turn out right…Money<\/em> is diagnosed with diabetes!<\/p>\n

    In Book Two<\/em>, Kali, now ten years old, comes across\u00a0more personal challenges and responsibilities that expand her\u00a0knowledge\u00a0of her and Money’s<\/em> diabetes.\u00a0 Courage continues with school, friends, projects, adventures, and necessary social adjustments.<\/p>\n

    Book Three<\/em> introduces us to one of Money’s<\/em> great adventures and what he finds in the nearby river.\u00a0 Quite riveting.\u00a0 Can you imagine what that could be?\u00a0\u00a0That’s not all, oh no.\u00a0\u00a0For one thing, Kali’s Grandmother, a T2D, comes to live with Kali and her parents.\u00a0 Surprise, surprise, surprise!\u00a0\u00a0Can you guess what Grandma does?\u00a0 Well, this is where Cash<\/em> comes to play.<\/p>\n

    As this particular Saturday has become known as “Small Business Saturday,”\u00a0hopefully that will help with attendance.<\/p>\n
