Judy goes home today!\u00a0 Excited to share this with you, such news does not come without apprehension and fright.<\/p>\n
After undergoing a kidney transplant on March 12th, ironically her surgeon’s birthday, her progress is delightful!\u00a0 Besides having to maintain\u00a0a minute strategizing\u00a0of her body, mind and soul through\u00a0insulin shots, pain medication\u00a0and immuno-suppressant\u00a0drugs, her attitude is upbeat and anxious.\u00a0 I do not blame her.\u00a0 Eight days in a hopital\u00a0environment is plenty!\u00a0 Although her overall care was excellent at UMASS (University of Massachusetts), her\u00a040+ years of diabetes knowledge and stubborn independence will blossom once again.\u00a0 I believe.\u00a0 I am proud of her.<\/p>\n
