Before I begin with my personal sharing of “words,” I would like to share a YouTube video with you…\u00a0http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Hzgzim5m7oU<\/a><\/p>\n Although used on a daily basis, words are the main beam of communicating, other than having vocal cords.\u00a0 I like words.\u00a0 Always have.\u00a0 So much so that I play word games in my head.\u00a0 For instance, once a word enters my vortex, I will dissect it into many other words.\u00a0<\/p>\n Take the word “independence” for example.\u00a0\u00a0Inside that one word there are others such as\u00a0in, id, end, depend, pin, pen, pie, pine, etc.\u00a0 You get the idea.\u00a0 I compare this mind-game to playing a lone game of Scrabble, a fashionable yet old board game of words.\u00a0 A most joyous game to me!<\/p>\n With the topic of words in mind, I appreciate new words, those that are not used on a daily basis, especially words that I have\u00a0never seen before.\u00a0\u00a0Words such\u00a0 as deglutition, bloviate, manque, anent, pleiad, etc.\u00a0 This list is endless and could become as fat as a voluminous dictionary!<\/p>\n Sharing such verbiage with you, I must let you know that I have not completely read any dictionary.\u00a0 Long ago I read as far as the ‘d’ alphabet.\u00a0 Just because I could.\u00a0 However, such a task soon became tedious and was put aside.<\/p>\n Since that long-ago time, authors have enlightened me through their book readings\u00a0with their use of\u00a0unfamiliar words.\u00a0 Habitually, I will dog-ear a page to enable myself to look up that word and its usage in a sentence.\u00a0 This has been most interesting – to me.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Off the topic for a moment, I have met more than one person whom are “numbers people.”\u00a0 What I do with words in my mind, they do with numbers.\u00a0 Peripeteia perhaps?\u00a0 Go figure!\u00a0 I am certainly not laconic!<\/p>\n http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9_tCtvmAm4M&NR=1<\/a>\u00a0 This link will lead you to a more compelling topic of words.\u00a0 Enjoy!<\/p>\n A.
