{"id":72,"date":"2010-02-04T19:13:49","date_gmt":"2010-02-04T19:13:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/buckroth.wordpress.com\/?p=72"},"modified":"2010-02-04T19:13:49","modified_gmt":"2010-02-04T19:13:49","slug":"raw-foods","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mydiabeticsoul.com\/?p=72","title":{"rendered":"Raw Foods"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Raw Foods<\/em>\u00a0may be\u00a0an old topic for some readers.\u00a0 It certainly is for me.\u00a0 However, this subject has been wildy rejuvenated and highlighted in the areas, albeit counties, of Northern California.\u00a0 I know, I live here.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you know it or not, raw foods consist of uncooked, uncanned, unfrozen,\u00a0and\/or unprocessed foods, especially fruits and vegetables.\u00a0\u00a0Foods come in many packaged ways.\u00a0 Shoppers and food preparers and daily planners know this.\u00a0 All food types have different ingredients.\u00a0 For instance,\u00a0when in the supermarket choose two acceptable, familiar\u00a0loaves of bread.\u00a0 After reading the labels of each, turn them over and read the ingredients as well as the dietary amounts of each (e.g., carbohydrates, proteins, fats, sugars, vitamins, minerals, etc.).\u00a0 Known as &#8220;label reading,&#8221; it is important to me and many\u00a0of you, to know what you are putting into your bodies as well as that of your family members.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I refer to this action as self-respect.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you do not know what an ingredient is and cannot pronounce it, do\u00a0 not eat it meaning do not buy it.\u00a0 It is really that simple.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Farmers&#8217; Markets have been in existence for <em>decades<\/em>.\u00a0 Purchasing such homegrown, local, and fresh-fresh-fresh delectible edibles not only helps the human body and soul, but helps to support our farmers.\u00a0 The United States Federal Government cannot do everything.\u00a0 We do not want them to!\u00a0 Too many consequences!!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Household vegetable and herb gardens can be\u00a0enjoyable hobbies with positive results as well as a cost-saving results.\u00a0 With this trend in mind, those folks whom do not have land property to grow edibles are encouraged\u00a0to grow vegetables and herbs in patio pots and\/or window boxes.\u00a0 Ideas are everywhere.\u00a0 Visit your local library!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind that retaining good health is an effort, but it is up to you.\u00a0 On a small-scale\u00a0raw celery, carrots, certain squashes, green beans, bell pepers\u00a0along with all fresh fruits\u00a0may be &#8211;\u00a0perhaps <em>should b<\/em>e &#8211; ingested on a daily basis.\u00a0 This is up to you.\u00a0 The benefits are countless!\u00a0 Eat colors!\u00a0 Doesn&#8217;t that sound like fun?\u00a0 The amount is up to you.\u00a0 Keep it simple and start small.\u00a0 We are natural after all.\u00a0 Best of health takes best of intentions.\u00a0 Good health to all!<\/p>\n<p>AK.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Raw Foods\u00a0may be\u00a0an old topic for some readers.\u00a0 It certainly is for me.\u00a0 However, this subject has been wildy rejuvenated and highlighted in the areas, albeit counties, of Northern California.\u00a0 I know, I live here.
