Donate to support a Rider
With you every mile of the way
Whether you choose to ride 25, 60 or even 100 miles, you’ll be surrounded by the T1D community–fellow riders, coaches, friends and family. You can do this.
JDRF Riders are family for me. When I signed up for my first Ride weekend, I was welcomed into a family that helps me up the hills, literally and in my life with T1D.
Ride-to-Cure events are life changing. The ride staff, ride coaches and fellow riders offer the support and encouragement to help you achieve that which you previously believed to be impossible. Come join our “ride family.”
Because where else can you ride your bike for 6+ hours and still have a smile on your face?
As the father of a daughter with Type 1 Diabetes, I love participating in the Ride program. I feel that I am contributing to something much larger than a bike ride, with hundreds of like-minded people, raising money that goes directly to a cure.
The JDRF Ride program is AMAZING! My family and I have been completely embraced by the entire Ride community.
You start by riding for someone you love, but in the end you ride for everyone affected by T1D. Together we are stronger than any one of us alone.
Bet You Can’t Do Just One Ride! After 35 Rides I’m inspired more each time. This program is an experience of a life time you don’t want to miss!
The JDRF Ride to Cure is unlike any other. Ride weekend changed my life as I pedaled 70 miles for my daughter and for every person with T1D.
The Ride connects you with life long friends from around the country who understand T1D. It allows you to experience the coolest places in the US while turning Type One into Type None.
Joining the ride program has been the most positive and rewarding thing I’ve done related to diabetes since my diagnosis more then 30 years ago. I wish I’d done it years earlier.
As a Ride to Cure Coach I’m fortunate to witness so many feats of incredible personal accomplishment. They each inspire me to keep pedaling until Type One becomes Type None!!
No matter the destination or the distance, finishing the Ride is a beautiful and heartwarming moment that brings me back each year.
I’ve seen and experienced more powerful moments and more flat-out magic during the 11 years of Ride Weekends I’ve been lucky enough to attend than in the rest of my life combined.
I’ve held a lot of “titles” in my JDRF years – National Chair of Advocacy, Chairmom of Children’s Congress, Chapter President. The one that gives me the most joy, pride and support, though, is simple: “JDRF Rider.”
I went from volunteer to rider to coach and have had the best experiences of my life being a part of the JDRF Ride Program. I am so proud to be a part of it.
Joining the JDRF ride was a life changing experience for me. It was an opportunity to be together with other positive people making the lives of other people better.
Ride weekend isn’t just about the miles you ride or the money you raise. The best part is all the amazing people you meet who become your JDRF Ride family.
JDRF has inspired me to keep bike riding into my 89th year. This year, I have set my annual record with more than 3300 miles and raised more than $53,000.
I am thrilled to participate in the greatest charity ride program in the country. I continue to be amazed by the impact that the JDRF Ride has on individuals who choose to get involved.
Words cannot describe the satisfaction I felt when crossing the finish line. Knowing that we are all here for one reason. To help fight and find a cure for T1D.
The Ride makes me laugh, cry and gives me a way to fight T1D while making friends with riders from over the country. This is my extended family.
Do a Ride with the JDRF Ride To Cure Diabetes and you’ll be hooked! Passion for a cure! A Ride Weekend experience like no other! One big family that changes lives!
I love volunteering at the Ride to Cure Diabetes because being around so many people who refuse to let T1D control their lives inspires me to not let it control mine.
Like St. Crispin’s Day, when the cure is found – and it will be found – I want to be able to say that I was there on the side of the angels.
I love riding with hundreds of other JDRF riders for the common cause of turning Type One into type None. Next year will be number ten for me and I hope I have ten more in me.
Capturing goosebump moments through the camera lens as riders cross the finish line is both heartwarming and exhilarating! Spending time with our JDRF Ride family makes this my favorite weekend of the year!
My moments on the bike allow me to reshape who I am physically, and mentally. It is a continual break down and build up of myself and I am a little bit better after every ride. The people that I meet in this ride community are some of the greatest people that I will ever meet.
The JDRF Ride to Cure gave me a community of riders, volunteers and coaches to help me learn to ride with T1D. The JDRF Ride to Cure gave me my bikes back and redefined why I ride.
I love working with so many people who are committed to their goals and to furthering JDRF’s mission. Coaching JDRF Riders is its own reward.
The JDRF Ride to Cure is phenomenal! Great locations, extremely well organized and everyone involved have the same goal – to cure T1D.
